Idaho residents have several options when it comes to researching and buying health insurance plans.

If you’re a resident of the state and you DO NOT have access to employer provided coverage, you can search for health care plans through the Idaho marketplace. You may qualify to receive financial help with your premiums and other cost share reductions like deductibles. You also may purchase a plan directly from the carrier if you choose to do so. I can help you decide the best path for you and your family at no cost.

Those purchasing Idaho health insurance plans must enroll during the open enrollment period which runs from November 1st to December 15th . Open enrollment is an annual event in which anyone can search and sign up for plans through the health insurance marketplace, Your Health Idaho. If you do not enroll during this time, you will not be eligible to do so until the next open enrollment. The only exception is if you meet the requirements for a special enrollment period. Details about special enrollment periods can be complicated, so it’s best to contact a licensed Idaho health insurance agent to find out if you qualify.
